Limited Submissions and Resources Coordinator (Remote or Hybrid)



The Limited Submissions and Resources Coordinator is an integral part of the Research Concierge Program’s team and coordinates the limited submission process for the university. The incumbent will work closely with the Office of Sponsored Program’s leadership, and Pitt research leadership and staff to curate and disseminate the funding opportunity newsletter, ensure that related webpages are accurate and updated, coordinate limited submission competitions, and assist with other Research Concierge Program resources and services.

Successful candidates will have a bachelor's degree and at least two years of experience in research development, or related fields. Must have the ability to work both independently and as an effective team member to accomplish program and University goals. This position must work collaboratively within the Office of Sponsored Programs as well as with other central University offices, other academic institutions, sponsors, and vendors. Candidate should have demonstrated facilitation and communication skills and the ability to work with individuals of all levels to develop and accomplish shared goals.

Job Summary

Works with the research enterprise to locate funding opportunities compatible with the University’s research strengths and strategic research objectives. Establishes processes and procedures for effective funding opportunities and provides analyses of funding communications. Identifies submission funding and award opportunities, coordinates applications and reviews, strategizes outreach initiatives, and ensures compliance with all funding solicitation and sponsor requirements. Manages research information systems and prepares productivity reports. Promotes research-related services and develops a current funding and limited submission opportunities website.


Essential Functions

This position requires excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical and organizational skills, and computer software proficiency. Must be able to interact with both internal and external project-related and associated personnel in a professional capacity. Demonstrated ability to operate in a service-oriented way, with dedication, follow-through, and team spirit. Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, and to meet deadlines. Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.

This position is primarily sedentary, and meetings are virtual.
