Theatre Arts - Part-Time Lecturers

The Theatre Arts Program at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for part-time teaching opportunities in undergraduate theatre courses. Occasional openings may include practice-based classes in the areas of acting, directing, movement, voice, playwriting, or dramaturgy; topics in theatre history, literature, and theory; and possibly the direction of student productions.

Qualifications:
  • MFA for practice-based course subject
  • PhD for academic courses (history, literature, and theory)

Local candidates are encouraged to apply as transportation costs are not covered by the university.

Applicants will need to submit:
  1. Cover letter, naming the specific types of courses the applicant is interested in teaching
  2. CV or Resume
  3. Three references (Note: We will not consult them without interviewing first and requesting permission in advance.)

Applications will be accepted on a rolling basis, with priority given to those received by July 31, 2021.
