Job Description

The Division of Applied Social Sciences (DASS) seeks applications for the position of Assistant Teaching Professor or Associate Teaching Professor. This is a non-tenure track, nine-month appointment, which will support undergraduate and graduate programs in Personal Financial Planning (PFP).

This position will be responsible for teaching courses focused on Employee Benefits and Retirement Planning, Estate and Gift Planning, Tax Planning, and other courses delivered via traditional classroom and/or online formats. An important aspect of this position ispreparing students to meet the education requirement to sit for the national CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ exam at both undergraduate and graduate levels.Other teaching, undergraduate/graduate advising and/or service responsibilities may beassigned inplace oftheaboveshouldourneedschange.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

A Masters degree in Financial Planning or a related field

Candidates will be evaluated on

·Highest degree earned

·CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificate status

· Qualifications to teach the above-described courses.

· Experience working with undergraduate students in alearning and mentoring environment.

· Experience with e-learning and technology-relatededucational innovation.

· Experience working with undergraduates and graduates for advising, recruitment,andindustryconnections.
