Job Description Summary:
We are seeking a full time Kansas Parent Resource Center Program Manager for a project focusing on developing statewide resource centers serving families and caregivers of children with autism, intellectual, or developmental disabilities in Kansas. These two resource centers are funded by the Kansas Department for Children and Families (DCF) and the Kansas Department for Aging and Disability Services (KDADS).

These two state-funded projects will consist of establishing statewide partners with foster agencies, service providers, and key stakeholders. In collaborations with these partners and the funding agencies, we provide referral services, educational webinars, parent and provider trainings, and individual consultation for caregivers and families of children with disabilities. The Program Manager will also hold back-end responsibilities to build and maintain the resource center web pages and user-friendly resource database.

Job Description:

Required Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree in early childhood, education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or related field
Work Experience:
  • 2 years of experience with combination of the following: executing grant funded projects, coordinating multi-partner projects, collecting and reporting quantitative and qualitative data and project progress
  • 1 year of experience working in the field of Applied Behavior Analysis, autism, disabilities, special education, psychology, or related field


Preferred Qualifications

Education: Master's degree in early childhood, education, behavior analysis, psychology, language, or related field.
Work Experience:
  • 1 year of experience in web development or software engineering
  • Experience executing a grant project from start to end date.
  • Experience collaborating with agencies, stakeholders, community members, professionals, and families.
  • Data analysis experience (SPSS, Excel, etc.).

Skills:
  • Knowledge of foster and disability resources in Kansas.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills as evidenced in application material.
  • Strong organizational and planning skills as evidenced in work history.


Job Duties Outlined:
  • Conceptualize, plan, develop, and coordinate program activities including but not limited to: Stakeholder meetings, webinars/ECHOs, 3-day live trainings, and case consultations.
  • Manages the general day to day programmatic support including administrative functions, maintaining project timelines and goals, ensuring meeting notes and documentation are up to date and available to the team, ordering any supplies needed, and maintaining professional communication with the team and project partners.
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with multiple teams and key stakeholders.
  • Ensure all data and reports meet grant reporting requirements and are HIPPA and FERPA compliant.
  • Manage a team of Parent Coaches and Work Study Students.
  • Assist with data entry, data management, and other research tasks.
  • Develop and maintain program web pages.
  • Develop and maintain resource data base for external use by target population.
  • Other duties as assigned

Compensation Statement:

The pay range listed for this position is determined by our compensation program using market data and salary benchmarking. A combination of factors is considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, education, experience and training, qualifications relative to the requirements of the position, and funding. At the University of Kansas Medical Center, a reasonable estimate for the starting pay range will be the minimum to midpoint of the posted range, taking into account the combination of factors listed above.
