Job Description Summary:
The Department of Biostatistics at the University of Kansas Medical Center is recruiting an assistant professor who will be responsible for teaching in our online MS program in Applied Statistics and Analytics and our MS and PhD programs in Biostatistics, serving on committees, advising students, and conducting research and evaluation of educational activities. The department currently consists of 13 Ph.D. faculty, 4 teaching associates , and multiple staff members.

Job Description:

Job Description Duties: Teach statistics/biostatistics courses for graduate students in applied statistics and analytics, biostatistics, and other disciplines. Conduct research and/or evaluation on education­ related topics. Perform other duties as may be assigned by chair.

Required Qualifications: Ph.D. in Biostatistics, Statistics, Mathematics with a focus in Statistics, or related area Ability to effectively interact with departmental faculty, University personnel, educators from other departments, support staff, and students. Candidates must have the ability to work cooperatively and collegially within a diverse environment , creating a positive and collaborative atmosphere for achieving success. Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

Preferred Qualifications: Experience in teaching professional and/or graduate students. Online teaching experience.
