Nature of Work

The Division of Urology, Department of Surgery at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking a general Urologist to join a vibrant, multidisciplinary clinical team. Our urologic service is staffed by full-time faculty as well as mid-level providers and provides urologic care for patients originating throughout the Rocky Mountain Region and beyond. The Division of Urology is a premier clinical, educational, and investigative program offering outstanding opportunitites for professional growth and development. 

There is a full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty position at the rank of Senior Instructor. The candidate will be expected to provide independent clinical services, supervise advanced practice providers and nurses in providing indpendent clinical care for patients and direct medical students and urology residents in all aspects of clinical urology. These duties will includeclinic and inpatient and outpatient surgeries primarily at University of Colorado Hospital - Highlands Ranch Medical Center. It is also expected that the candidate will collaborate with other members of the Division of Urology and Department of Surgery in the development of comprehensive urologic facilities and services in the South Denver Metropolitan Area. Close collaboration with colleagues, hospital and clinic staff will be necessary. 

Salary and Benefits

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $420,000 – $450,000. Salary will be based on FTE.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

Minimum Qualifications:

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

  • Medical degree from an accredited school of medicine
  • Board certified or board eligible in Urology
  • Current license to practice as a physician with prescriptive privileges; current license in Colorado or the ability to obtain a license in Colorado 

Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies

  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical or surgical Urology
  • Ability to communicate clearly as an integral member of a tea
