Description of Work: Provide varied and advanced administrative support for the NCTA Deans, and other faculty and staff at the discretion of the Dean. Use independent judgment according to policies and procedures. Assist in planning, organizing, implementing and monitoring the day-to-day affairs of the Deans office consistent with goals and objectives. Work with special committees to stay up to date on college affairs, including the strategic plan. Provide support as may be assigned by the Dean. Provide secretarial support to the Dean, including managing and scheduling the Deans calendar, travel, and meetings; preparing documents and reports; serving as the Deans office receptionist answering phones/campus switchboard rotation and accommodating all information requests; maintaining contact information and filing/records retention system; managing Deans office incoming and outgoing mail; and, preparing presentations for the Dean. Position requires a strong commitment to routinely demonstrate integrity and compassion.

Minimum Required Qualifications: Bachelors degree plus two years of progressively related administrative assistant experience at an executive level; equivalent education/experience considered. Excellent computer skills utilizing word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation software. Demonstrated ability to independently draft memos, letters, and take accurate notes and minutes. Ability to perform basic math calculations for presentations or reporting. Ability to set up, maintain, and troubleshoot meeting equipment such as projectors and audio/visual equipment along with the ability to set up remote conference and meeting calls requiring multiple attendees. Experience must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, and time management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work under pressure, and meet deadlines. Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to take initiative to resolve problems. Demonstrated team player.
Preferred Qualifications: Experience with PowerPoint and Publisher. Strong decision-making ability, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills. Understanding of web page management and/or the ability/interest to learn web page management.
