Recruiting Specialist
The Recruiting Specialist for the Office of the Vice President for Research, will provide full-cycle recruitment services for assigned units. The Recruiting Specialist will assist in developing and administering processes to effectively attract, select, and on-board high performing staff to accomplish the University mission and advance a diverse campus community. All duties will involve the use of personal computers, a variety of software (including but not limited to a variety of Microsoft products, and Applicant Tracking Systems), and will exercise independent judgement, a high level of confidentiality, and attention to detail and accuracy.

The Office of the Vice President for Research has as its goal the support and advancement of research, scholarship, and creative activity on our campus. Through a broad variety of activities and services, the Office of the Vice President for Research seeks to play an important role in the underpinning of these creative activities in the public and private sectors in our region.
Qualifications:
Education or Equivalency Required
A Bachelor’s degree in human resources, marketing, business, or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
Required Qualifications
- Typically 1-3 years of experience in a recruiting and/or talent-acquisition role, involving full-cycle recruitment activities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of sourcing, candidate development or contract recruiting in professional services, higher education, corporate, or a recruiting agency environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of applicant tracking solutions (ATS/CMS tools), online sourcing and research tools.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and task oriented.
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, including polished phone, oral presentation, email, and social media etiquette.
- Demonstrated experience with, or commitment to diversity in the work or academic environment.
Desirable Qualifications
- Working knowledge of Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affirmative Action policies.
- Previous experience sourcing and recruiting underrepresented candidates.
- Previous experience sourcing ad recruiting for federal contractors.
