Machinist

The Carlson Company in Park City Kansas has immediate job openings available for Machinists in our Factory.
These are full time jobs for detail oriented people with the ability to work independently.
We are willing to train the right people.
Job duties include being able to calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, depth and angle of cut.
You will need to read and understand engineering drawings and routing's.
Meet and exceed job time requirements in an efficient manner.
Be able to use  precision instruments, gauges, tools and have basic math and problem solving skills.
Wood working  / crate making skills, a plus.
You must follow safety directives, wear eye and ear protection, and steel toed shoes.
Must be able to physically lift over 25lbs, stand for extended periods of time, and work in an environment that may be exposed to extreme temperatures and loud noise.

All applicants must be at least 18 years old. 
You must be able to pass a drug screen. 
This is a Full time, Daytime position  (We close at 4:30 pm) with paid Health Insurance ( for the employee - not a family plan )  and the possibility of overtime.
