Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented PE or EIT Civil Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design, review, and management of various civil engineering projects, including site and subdivision developments, infrastructure initiatives, stormwater design, contract administration, and project management.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Apply civil engineering principles and standards to execute tasks effectively.
  • Perform routine engineering assignments using standard techniques and procedures.
  • Manage administrative duties associated with project management for civil/site projects.
  • Develop construction bid documentation in compliance with government and client standards.
  • Ensure quality control and assurance to uphold project standards.
  • Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
  • Assume relevant duties of Project Manager as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in Civil Engineering.
  • Must be capable of obtaining a South Dakota Professional Engineer (PE) License within 1 years of hire.
  • Proficiency in Autodesk Civil 3D is required; experience with Microsoft Office Suite is preferred.

Additional Requirements:

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and assignments concurrently while meeting deadlines.
  • Comprehensive understanding of civil engineering plan sets, construction, and structures.
  • Strong aptitude for both independent work and collaboration within a team environment.
  • Self-motivated, hardworking, highly ethical, and dependable individual.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.

Compensation:

  • Salary: Experience dependent.
  • All employees are compensated on an hourly basis.
