General Manager

O’Rourke Media Group is recruiting for an entrepreneurial, revenue-focused General Manager for our newest acquisition in Bucks County, PA.  We’re looking for someone that has a proven track record of selling and managing a team of people to achieve revenue growth.  The GM is responsible for day-to-day management of the business and is expected to work out of our office in Morrisville, PA.  Although someone with media sales experience is preferred, we’d consider talent from outside the industry.

 Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain a book of business while coaching and leading a team of account managers and account executives.    
• Recruit, hire and train digital marketing consultants to expand the team and grow digital revenue without compromising the strength and impact of print.  
• Optimize cash flow by driving recurring revenue and by setting clear payment expectations upfront with customers in the sales process.  
• Generate new revenue in our Printing & Design business segment. 
• Direct management of each functional area of the business, including Operations/Production. 
• Work with key people and businesses in the communities we serve to keep our brands engaged and actively involved.  
• Bring an entrepreneurial mindset and consistently be on the hunt to develop new revenue and business opportunities.  We’re really looking for someone that can help us expand up to ten new markets over the next few years.  Expansion can include the tri-state area.    

Pennsylvania Market

The group of monthly publications include the Doylestown Observer, Fairless Focus, Langhorne Ledger, Morrisville Times, Newtown Gazette, Northampton Herald, New Hope News, Lower Southampton Spirit, Warwick Journal and the Yardley Voice.  Total distribution is 129,000 and distributed via the post office.
