Radio Chief Engineer
Nebraska Public Media is looking for a Radio Chief Engineer to join our team. This position will be in charge of all Radio Engineering duties which will include, installation, integration, operation and maintenance of Nebraska Public Media, Radio, Satellite, Digital and Terrestrial IP, Broadcast and Non- Broadcast Systems and Infrastructure. The Chief Engineer will also be in charge of KUCV Lincoln’s radio analog/HD transmitters. Will assist RF field engineers when needed with the installation, maintenance, and administration of Network Management Control Systems (NET-NMCS) . As well work with the Network Operations Chief Engineer in Maintenance, of TV systems when requested.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of: Broadcast systems configurations, workflows, multiplatform distributions, and FCC rules and regulations. PC skills including proficiency with Microsoft offices; IT & Network skills on broadcast related, IP based applications. Ability to work on both IP based broadcast equipment and legacy broadcast equipment.
REQUIREMENTS: At least three years of experience in broadcasting electronics – television, radio, or cable operations; graduation from a recognized vocational technical school in electronics may be substituted for one year of experience.
