Service Manager/Technician

Miller Repair LLC., a family owned agricultural equipment dealer, is seeking a Service Manager / Technician for their Maxwell, NE location.

We are looking for a forward thinking individual to manage our agriculture equipment service department with 6-8 technicians. The individual will be responsible for the effective repair of farm tractors, ag machinery, and components at high levels of quality. This individual would be responsible for customer contact and overseeing the service and repair of tractors, implements and hay equipment. Their work must be completed in a safe, professional, and timely manner. This candidate will develop, monitor, and achieve agreed-upon departmental business objectives consistent with Miller Repair policies, regulations, and expectations. The duties of this position include every aspect of the operation of the service department as well as working with the other departments within the location to achieve common goals.

Service Manager / Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
-Service, repair, and recondition equipment.
-Diagnose problems and perform repairs.
-Keep records/documentation of repairs performed.
-Suggest any additional repairs needed to other service technicians and/or customer.
-Maintain safe work habits and act as the site safety coordinator.
-Participate in training associated with specific related equipment. Training is provided.
-Stay current with technical changed and updates of related equipment.
-Set up and PDI new equipment
-Assigning personnel to specific work orders and providing resources that will assist Service Technicians in the repair of equipment.
-Maintaining and monitoring detailed records of repair orders, and other required data.
-Look for opportunities to gain additional business from existing customers and establish relationships with new customers.
-Determine schedules, sequences, and assignments for work activities, based on work priority, quantity of equipment, and skill of personnel, and ensure service department is productive.
-Excellent customer service, communication, and supervisory skills.

-High School diploma or GED equivalent
-Understanding of transmissions, engines, electric, and hydraulic systems.
-Positive attitude and ability to work well with others
-Fabrication/welding skills preferred
-Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions.
-Good driving record
-Agriculture background
-Service Technician experience
-Thrive & multi-task in a face-paced environment
-The ability to anticipate issues and respond proactively to solutions.
-Candidate must have a solid understanding of farming / ranching practices.
-Assure customer satisfaction and resolve customer complaints in a courteous professional manner.
-Ability to work well within a team environment.
-Strong organization skills and internal drive to see tasks through to completion.
-Solid time management skills.
-Ability to effectively communicate with employees and customers, both in a one-on-one and group setting.
-Strong training and coaching skills.
