Job Summary/Basic Function

The Department of Health and Human Performance at Middle Tennessee State University invites applicants for a full-time, temporary (non-tenurable) faculty position (#130010) at the rank of lecturer for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. This is a one-year temporary appointment with a possible annual renewal for up to three years. The start date for the appointment is August 1, 2024.

The successful candidate will teach five (5) courses in the Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology Program at the undergraduate level. Courses may include Introduction to Communication Disorders, Diagnostics, Child Language Development in Education, Anatomy, Child Language Disorders, Adult Language and Neurogenic Communication Disorders, and other courses related to the field and clinical supervision.

Required Education

A master's degree in speech-language pathology is required by the appointment date.

Required Related Experience

Five (5) years of full-time clinical experience is required by the appointment date.

Required License/Registration/Certification

A Certificate of Clinical Competence/SLP and Tennessee State Licensure or submitted applications are required by the appointment date.
