Type of Position: Part-time Temporary, Non-Exempt

Work Schedule, Hours per week: varies, 12 hours per week

Pay Range: $15.95 - $20.31 and determined based on relevant years of work experience.

Position Summary: Work under the guidance of the supervisor to manage the activities of the Academic Resource Center (ARC) to ensure a friendly, productive, and safe learning environment for students; serve as the face of the Center; and complete day-to-day administrative support duties.

Required Qualifications:
  • Entry-level support role.
  • Performs routine tasks as directed and under close supervision.
  • Requires a High School Diploma and little to no related experience.

Position Details: Job duties include but are not limited to:
  • Serve as the first point of contact in the Center, greeting and assisting a diverse range of students, staff, faculty, and visitors; answer queries in person, via email, and phone; check students in and out of the online system and connect them to their tutor or appropriate resource in a timely manner.
  • Maintain smooth operations of the Center by abiding by Center and ARC rules and procedures.
  • Promote ARC and other campus services, direct students as necessary, and educate students on how to access resources on campus independently.
  • Gather and input data successfully in several campus software systems and develop reports and documents using accessibility technology such as UbiDuo.
  • Maintain knowledge of and manage ARC resources (books, models, technology, headphones, and other resources), direct students to the appropriate resources, and correctly check in and out materials to students.
  • Maintain the orderliness and cleanliness of the desk and Center.
  • Submit requests for facility/campus services and technology tickets.
  • Communicate any escalated issues with the Director, collaborate with colleagues, and cover shifts as needed.
  • Attend relevant campus training and department meetings as requested and/or required for the position.
