Cardiologist - InvasiveGreat Plains Physician Services
Great Plains Health is seeking multiple Cardiologists - Invasive to provide medical services in North Platte & the surrounding region. Provide full-time inpatient, outpatient, & clinic cardiology services, including pacemakers & cardiac devices, for patients at Hospital & its clinics & outreach clinics. Examine & treat disorders & diseases of cardiovascular system. Diagnose patients using diagnostic images & electrocardiogram recordings. Recommend & order tests to determine extent of illness/condition. Perform permanent pacemaker implantation & implantable loop recorder implantation & appropriately monitor implanted devices through pacemaker clinics & patient follow-up. Perform diagnostic cardiac catheterizations & interpret cardiac image studies. Consult with & provide follow-up care for cardiology patients, including outlining heart care & preventative measures. Prescribe appropriate medication. Prepare & provide documentation & diagnosis for coding, including dictation of cardiology evaluations. Participate in quality assurance, perform medical audits, & provide clinical supervision & educational services to Hospital staff. Full-time (40 hours/week with on-call & weekend duties). Travel to outreach clinics in neighboring counties, but not anticipated to exceed few hours/month. Requires MD degree or ECFMG equivalent; completion of 3 year residency in Internal Medicine & 3 year Clinical Cardiology or Cardiovascular Disease fellowship; BC in Internal Medicine & BE in Cardiovascular Disease with certification in Echocardiography & eligibility for certification in Nuclear Cardiology; & current NE medical license.
