Position Summary
The Secretary II is responsible and accountable for actions, which include but are not limited to: maintains a technical library, equipment history, and controls updated and outdated information in the computer; documents construction meeting minutes and project files; documents, controls and updates all safety related information for the medical center; serves as gatekeeper of Engineering department and hospital-wide safety and hazmat policies.
Minimum Qualifications
Education
High school degree or equivalent required.
Credentials
Current Driver's license
Physical Demands
Sit frequently.
Stand and/or walk frequently.
Lift and/or carry 25 pounds occasionally.
Reach above shoulder height occasionally.
Eye-hand coordination within normal limits for age and gender.
Essential Functions
Demonstrates safe and competent use of equipment. Demonstrates proper use of software applications to carry out duties.
Performs administrative functions such as inter-departmental work requests, correspondence, catalog filing and maintenance inspection report filing. Creates and maintains construction documents, correspondence, minutes, and records. Maintains Engineering department service contracts. Schedules Engineering department meetings and is responsible for coordination of the educational portion of the meeting.
Logs incoming work requests into the equipment management computer system. Logs completed work requests and other records.
Maintains and updates service manuals on all equipment as information is received. Maintains department policies as needed for Engineering, Maintenance, Bio-med, and Security.
Assists in preparation of appropriate purchasing documentation for bench stock and replacement parts as required for building and equipment maintenance.
Compiles computer input on equipment and device records for equipment management program and The Joint Commission. Organizes and files information pertaining to equipment for The Joint Commission.
