Great Plains Health is seeking a Cardiologist (Non-Invasive) to provide full-time inpatient, outpatient, & clinic cardiology services to the Hospital and its outreach clinics. Examine, diagnose, & treat heart &/or cardiovascular conditions, disorders, & diseases. Order & interpret cardiac image studies (exercise & nuclear stress tests, echocardiography, electrocardiogram recordings, holter/cardiac event monitors, cardiac CTA, coronary angiograms). Provide consultative services on cardiology call and follow-up care for cardiology patients in clinic & outreach settings, including outlining heart care & preventative measures. Prescribe appropriate medication. Refer patients for procedures or surgery. Prepare and provide admin documentation, including dictation of cardiology evaluations. Participate in admin meetings and QA. Perform medical audits. Provide clinical supervision and education to Hospital staff. Full-time, 40 hours/week with frequent on-call and weekend duty. At least 3 outpatient clinics/month with travel to outreach clinics in nearby counties. Requires MD or ECFMG equivalent; completed Internal Medicine residency and Cardiology fellowship; BC in IM; BE/BC in Cardiovascular Disease; National Board of Echocardiography & Board of Nuclear Cardiology certs, and current NE medical license.
