Position Summary
-
The Maintenance Technician - Carpenter is responsible for the completion and repair of all in house carpentry.

Minimum Qualifications
-
Education
-
High school degree or equivalent required.
-

Credentials
-
Must possess and maintain valid driver's license. Corian installation certification preferred. Completion of CPI training required.

Physical Demands

Stand and/or walk constantly.

Sit occasionally.

Lift 50 pounds floor to waist frequently.

Push and/or pull 30 pounds 100 feet occasionally.

Carry 50 pounds 25 feet occasionally.

Reach overhead occasionally.

Bend, stoop, kneel, and crawl occasionally.

Climb 26 steps occasionally.

Climb 6-foot ladder five steps frequently.

Manual dexterity, eye-hand coordination, and balance within normal limits.

Essential Functions
- Demonstrates safe and competent use of equipment.
- Demonstrates proper use of software applications to carry out duties.
- Responsible for repair of hospital furniture, desks, cupboards, and in-house construction and maintenance projects according to applicable codes. Includes acquisition of all permits required.
- Math skills preferred. Memorization, judgment and decision making required.
- Cleans, organizes, and maintains the work area.
- Repairs, inspects, and maintains all building systems including boilers, HVAC, emergency power, medial gases, electrical and mechanical as directed.
- Assists in Code 99, Code Blue, Trauma Code, and other security incidents when requested
