End User Support
Position Summary
Responsible for managing the mobile devices, desktops, laptops, and peripheral devices used to support access to and use of Gothenburg Health business systems, the End User Architect will work with the broader IT and business organization to deliver solutions, serve as a subject matter expert in end user computing technology, manage governance and compliance to the standards, and drive focus on delivering an excellent end user experience.
Key Accountabilities
Responsible for the architecture and design of new additions to the End User Computing environments and providing technical expertise in identifying, evaluating, and developing effective systems solutions that meet business application requirements
Assists in the evaluation of vendor and/or service providers through development of RFI/RFP, analysis of results, vendor interviews, and pilot programs
Participates in the evaluation of new software tools and may lead projects to implement new tools or upgrades to existing tools. May direct the activities of other associates on project assignments
Analyzes customers' business needs and develops technical requirements, prepares Requests for Quotes (RFQs)
Responsible for researching industry technology trends and developments and how to incorporate them in Gothenburg Health IT's vision
Mentors younger staff and peers in areas of IT where the End User Architect is most strong
Develops standard configuration and documentation
Develops installation and configuration procedures
Implements system configuration changes, as requested
Develops maintenance procedures
Trains user support specialist and service desk technicians in operation and issue resolution
Provides installation and troubleshooting backup and escalation assistance to teammates
Root Cause Analyzes failures and works with service providers to resolve discrepancies
Configure and manage security controls both endpoint protection and Group Policy Object creation and maintenance in an Active Directory environment
Monitors desktop/mobile/peripheral device performance and supports system engineers in expanding and tuning operating platforms to meet Gothenburg Health's needs
Performs maintenance, backup, and recovery tasks for desktop/mobile/peripheral devices when necessary
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's or Associate's degree in IT, Management Information Systems, or related technology or equivalent combination of education and experience
Proven experience creating and executing technology strategy and technical solutions
Proven record of successful delivery of customer focused IT solutions
Track record of strong communication skills
Healthcare experience preferred
Knowledge of equipment and software characteristics of various computer systems and a general understanding of system features
Proven knowledge of managing Microsoft Windows in an Active Directory environment
Knowledge of computing infrastructures and hands-on technical troubleshooting capabilities
Knowledge of Data Protection as it pertains to HIPPA and policy writing skills
Knowledge of Office 365 administration and use
