Assistant Director of Operations
The Assistant Director of Operations provides hands on and leadership efforts and oversees the lab, kitchen, packaging, post harvest and distribution activities and operations at our cultivation and manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for oversight of the listed departments and 50+ indirect reports. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, positive individual who has spent some time in a highly regulated lean manufacturing leadership position (food, pharma, CPG manufacturing) and has current cannabis industry experience. Participating in cannabis harvest process including offload, harvesting, sanitizing and reloading flower rooms, milling and destruction of cannabis waste.
- Overseeing a team of 50+ indirect and 10+ management-level direct reports
- Leading daily operations activities in the lab, kitchen, packaging, post harvest and distribution
- Maintain open communication with site GM and c-suite
- Follow all SOPs, verbal directives, training information and policies when performing duties
Salary
$130000 - $150000 USD per year
Required Skills
- Previous experience in a hands-on environment with high attention to detail preferred
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Highly motivated, self-directed, innovative and able to work independently or among teams with keen judgement, common sense and resourcefulness
- Attention to detail and ability to focus on one task for extended periods of time
- Adapts and thrives in a demanding, start-up, fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently throughout a workday with given directives
- Must pass any and all required pre-employment screenings
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
- Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
- Must be approved by the D.O.A. to receive an Agent badge
Desired Skills
- Previous experience in a cultivation or post harvest role in a regulated cannabis facility
- Degree in horticulture or botany
