As the Chief Operating Officer of the City, the City Manager provides leadership to the City staff and helps the City Council to define, establish and attain overall goals and objectives of local government. The City Manager is responsible for the quality of service provided to citizens by staff and consultants and is responsible for compliance with all legislative, judicial, and administrative obligations established by higher authority. |
The City of Dawson, MN is hiring a City Manager to provide executive leadership and oversight for all city government matters. Responsibilities include directing city operations, managing finances, and providing policy advice to the Mayor and City Council.
Candidates should have a degree in Public Administration or related field with 3+ years of experience preferred, though recent graduate’s w/o experience will be considered.
Key qualities include government and financial management knowledge, leadership, interpersonal skills, and problem-solving abilities. Salary-Exempt DOE with full benefits.
