ESU 16 is in search of an energetic and positive special education professional to join our Transition/Inclusion team. The Transition/Inclusion facilitator provides direct and individualized support to resource teachers and IEP teams throughout the school year. The support includes IEP development, program planning, in addition to instructional and behavioral strategies. The facilitator is a crucial partner in developing comprehensive and compliant transition plans for students ages 14-21. The facilitator serves as a liaison between parents, school and community partners. Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration skills are a must.
Minimum requirements include: Nebraska teaching certification in a special education-related field. Bachelor's degree in a special education-related field.
Transition/Inclusion professionals are contracted to work 185 days throughout the school year. Applicants seeking part-time employment are also encouraged to apply. ESU 16 offers a competitive salary and an employee/family benefits package. This application is open until December 1st, 2021.
