Educational Service Unit 16 is in search of a licensed mental health professional to join the ESU 16 mental health team in providing social-emotional and mental health supports to students within school districts in West-Central Nebraska. ESU 16 provides a team approach to services through a multi-tiered system of supports. Interventions are provided for students at the tier I, tier II, and tier III levels. The ESU 16 mental health team members participate in monthly team meetings, district level team meetings, and appropriate special education meetings specific to students receiving services. Individuals on the ESU 16 mental health team work closely with the school counselors, resource teachers, and administration within their school districts.
Minimum requirements include: Master's degree in a human services or mental health field. Individuals with provisional certification are also encouraged to apply.
Mental health team members are contracted to work 190 days throughout the calendar year. Applicants seeking part-time employment are also encouraged to apply. ESU 16 offers a competitive salary and an employee/family benefits package. This application is open until December 1st, 2021.
