Description
Drew University is seeking a Summer Conference and Camp Liaison in the FacilitiesDepartment. This is a 4-month position from May 13 to mid-August (based on availability) offering 25 hours per week. This position will work with the Facilities department as a liaison to Auxiliary Services to ensure that campus facilities are scheduled for all necessary summer maintenance while being used for summer conference and camp rentals.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure ongoing communication between Auxiliary Services and Facilities regarding relevant aspects of the Summer Conference and Camp Project schedule, such as:
Be able to communicate through computer email, telephone voice mail systems, two-way radio systems and cell phone; able to use basic functions of a computer, including competency with Microsoft Office, for tracking work orders, managing scheduled meetings and work, managing email, and other files and documentation.
Work in a team environment.
Be able to stand, walk and traverse stairs for at least 50% of the day.
Strong English written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Ensure ongoing communication between Auxiliary Services and Facilities regarding relevant aspects of the Summer Conference and Camp Project schedule, such as:
- Dates and times for the start and end of conferences and camps
- Anticipated participant counts
- Confirm and track housing assignments as made by Auxiliary Services
- Track and check keys and access cards issued to Auxiliary Services and returned to Facilities
- Verify that cleaning and repair work necessary for summer rentals has been completed
- Provide timely notice of summer maintenance work that will need to be done when the residence halls are occupied and collaborate with Auxiliary Services to ensure that all work fits within the summer constraints for all campus buildings
- Create and manage work orders, based on RCR and any other communication from Auxiliary Services, for ongoing work in residence halls pertaining to summer rental turnover
- Assist with scheduling facilities work in residence halls
- Inspect facilities to ensure that work has been completed
- Communicate up-to-date tracking information on what spaces have had summer maintenance work completed and what needs to be done
- Communicate with, and escort as needed, outside contractors brought in to do summer maintenance work
