This person will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Under the direction of the CEO and Senior Leadership, the Safety Director is responsible for developing and maintaining a company-wide safety and risk management program. Span of responsibility covers all company-wide loss prevention and risk management control programs, including occupational health and safety, transportation, environmental protections, and/or other related loss prevention and control functions.
Requirements/Certifications:
Knowledge of: Applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, and regulations; Health, Safety, and environmental hazard identification methods; Risk management and loss control principles and practices; Insurance underwriting principles and practices.
Demonstrated Skill in: Applying applicable laws, rules, and regulations; developing & managing risk management programs and techniques; investigating and adjusting claims; preparing and maintaining records/reports; handling multiple priorities simultaneously; communicating detailed reports and information; utilizing computer technology used for communications, data gathering and reporting, communicating effectively through oral and written mediums.
Valid Operators License with company approved driving record.
